In 1964, capitalizing on Beatlemania, Shadow Morton and Joseph Monaco wrote "Only Seventeen" which incorporated elements of "I Saw Her Standing There," "I Want To Hold Your Hand," and "She Loves You."

"Only Seventeen" was recorded with a local girl group, re-branded as the Beattle-Ettes.

Lyrics:

1 2 3 4
1 2 3
Well I know I'm only seventeen
But I'd sure like to be your queen
I think you're grand
I think you're grand
You ask me to and I'm gonna let you hold my hand
And then one day when you were really mine
I thought that everything was fine
Saw you standing there
Saw you standing there
With another boy but believe me
I didn't think you cared

You said I wasn't true
I found somebody new
And you went away
You said I should be glad
But you just made me mad
My friends heard you say
You said I loved him yeah yeah yeah
You said I loved him yeah yeah yeah
You're a fool
I really love you

Well I know I'm only seventeen

But I'd sure like to be your queen
I think you're grand
I think you're grand
You ask me to and I'm gonna let you hold my hand
You said I loved him yeah yeah yeah
You said I loved him yeah yeah yeah
You're a fool
I really love you
